I'm going to wake up early and make some coffee and breakfast.. (..hope my creamer didn't expire...)

And then I'm off to buy some mulch, seeds and potting soil. Everything will be in planters this year.

I got five clay planters all different sizes, a couple hanging planters for cherry tomatoes and a few long planters on the back porch. I'm going to invite my neighbor to adopt a few of them for himself.

My other neighbor also plants on the porch and it would be cool to have three of us doing it this year.

This is a fairly close representation of my planters. I got three of them including the biggest one for free.

I have wild strawberries, chives, garlic and Greek oregano already growing back there. I love the easy plants that come back on their own.

We also have a lot of large flowering plants that an old neighbor left that come back every year. He worked at a golf course and got some bulbs.

The strawberries don't taste great but I snack on them anyways.

What's everybody growing this year? What have you got going already?

Growing money. Everything else is cheaper than dirt.

Once the gardening is done, I'll do some laundry and then I'm going to fly my new chopper around the yard. The weather is going to be rain for two days after tomorrow so I want to do as many things outside as I can.

I do that in a way. I've traded herbs a few times at the Farmer's Market for things I don't grow.

It's a good idea to grow herbs, they are expensive to buy at the grocery store. Good for trading.

I'm glad my neighbor raked the backyard. That's where all the deer scat is. I try not to track it in my apartment.

The friggin' deer broke my fence. I can fix it though.

Sad, just sad an excuse for a pre-day celebration from a non-ac.

There are other days to celebrate.
Like today, one of the most important days for any conspiracy theorist.

It's Unicorn day and you're talking about gardening.

National Unicorn Day on April 9 is a day to celebrate the most popular mythical creature ever.

I sure do miss those ac's on the tip of the knife with news.

I'm going to grow those out of my largest planter. I want a pumpkin vine too. That might be the only thing I grow out of the ground.

I love making refrigerator pickles. They are so easy because there's no cooking involved.

I just found out National Gardening Day is on April 14th.

I guess I'm ahead of the curve...

I was drinking in my backyard one night with my headphones on listening to hard rock music. There was a ton of cloud to cloud lightning going on so I started shooting my arms to the sky during parts of the song and the sky would light up.

I found it quite amusing at the time but the neighbors that never leave their apartments probably thought I was a kook.

I do the same shit when I'm sunbathing..waving the clouds away. I live on the crest of a hill, so they all disperse anyway. :winks:
