In asphyxia, oxygen is deprived to the bodies tissues uniformly. Without adequate O2, nerve cells in the brain "die" in 2-4 minutes.

According to Dr. Nelson, there was no damage to heart cells indicating lack of O2. Now the M.E. is saying no brain damage due to lack of O2.

Did they just ruin the prosecution's case for death by asphyxia?
 Quoting: Herr Decider

No petechial hemorrhage either

A petechial hemorrhage is a tiny pinpoint red mark that is an important sign of asphyxia caused by some external means of obstructing the airways. They are sometimes also called petechiae.

Their presence often indicates a death by manual strangulation, hanging, or smothering.

The medical examiner's voice sounds likes he's a bit nervous. I would be. He knows his house will get burned down if he doesn't say the right thing.

forgive my ignorance ... its day 10 and all the witnesses so far are for the prosecution ?
 Quoting: Man Bear Pig

The prosecution goes first. They bring their witnesses and question them first. The defense goes second. They call their witnesses and start the questioning.
 Quoting: Corporal Punishment

The medical examiner is nervous because the prosecution does not agree with his cause of death that's why they brought in the other Pathologist to review his work before he was called to the stand.

* heard a reporter say that on a stream I have open
 Quoting: BBQ BOY™

Didn’t he declare it a homicide?

Am I getting it mixed up ?

Notice how in the coverage they always use Floyd's like dating profile picture with 6 instagram filters but for Chauvin it's his mugshot with orange jumpsuit, and they put them side by side.

In truth, he was under such overwhelming and largely self induced mental, emotional, and physical stress that he gave up the ghost.

Thus there is no way to pinpoint a failure of a specific physical function as a "cause of death" which can then be linked to a physical act by one of the cops.

But that won't stop them from lyin and tryin.

Pretty much which means there’s likely only a few more prosecution witnesses...

They knew this would happen but allowing him as a defense witness would damage their case even more...

Not according to court tv

They think it’s a slam dunk for prosecution

Did they not hear his severe heart condition couldn’t take the stress?

Police aren’t mind readers, Floyd never said I’m having a heart attack he was saying he couldn’t breath, most people assume if your talking you’re breathing

Once again, it would seem reasonable doubt is established. This was a perfect storm of confluences which resulted in death. It would be fair to all at this point to say all of these factors contributed equally in some part to St George's death. Perhaps remove any one of them and the man is still alive, albeit in jail.

Right like they're going to send him through a 4D MRI prior to contacting him for a crime.

If the jury has the wit to understand what just happened then Chauvin walks.

What’s sad is in the moment, while subduing a career criminal on drugs, who is resisting arrest, they prob thought something like “oh I haven’t heard that one before”

It just shows you that you really do need to do what an officer says, in case you’re in a situation where you need the officer to take you seriously...
