In the above figure, red arrows point to right angles. Can natural rocks form these right angles?
These objects contain numerous wood tissues. See them easily in [link to www.gigapan.com] (Remember to zoom in there ).

Molecules of iron pyrite connect in such a way that a cube (or a cuboid) easily results. In the schematic layout shown, notice the cube in the lower left quadrant. At the center of that cube are two sulfur atoms. The rest of the layout follows naturally. Iron atoms are seen at each corner and in the center of each face of the cube.

yes. i have seen naturally on earth rocks broken at exact right angles. many of them at a time. some are triangular also hexagonal and perfect squares are possible.

Re: Can Rocks Form These Right Angles?
There are right angles everywhere in nature.
Virtually EVERYWHERE, with no human intervention.

Here in West Virginia we have nothing BUT rccks
and they crack off the sides of hills REGULARLY
at right angles.

This is wishful thinking.

Mars has no magnetic field and almost positively
never did.

Aside from the fact that the "atmosphere" is a
near vacuum, solar radiation would QUICKLY kill
any living thing, including the suicidal astronauts
should they ever fire human beings into space
on that CERTAIN suicide mission.

dude...

what law of physics, chemistry, geology, thermodynamics, etc. would keep right angles out of natural occurrences?

Just asking.

All laws combine to keep lava and geologists from forming those "basalt columns".

Re: Can Rocks Form These Right Angles?
Rocks are crystalline structures. They can form many varied and interesting structures.
The times it doesn't you get conglomerate which looks like natural concrete or sedimentary rock which is formed by natural levelling process.
I love driving in the Rockies, you can see the sharp edges of sedimentary plains that have been uplifted and distorted to right angles.
It's nature's way of telling us that nothing can stand forever.
