I have NOT received the 1st, 2nd or 3rd, nor my refunds.
IRS says, "I can try to recapture" what everyone else got.

Put into a savings account until they ask for it and you will get to retain the interest, but that too will have to be reported as income. Period. Not necessarily true. I know a guy that got $15,000 from the State division of Labor and Injuries after being told many times he was not eligible for any more benefits and he said that is great, lets just get this case closed.

So a while later they closed his case and sent him $15,000 and the paperwork said this payment is final after 60 days, I think. So he stuck it in the bank and 60 days later, it was his and he never heard another word. Lucky him. He had already gotten a final medical settlement.

There is at least a chance the mistake will never be caught?

They also stole my property tax refund.

Mind you - the original credit debt 11 years ago was paid by govt. insurance - its the collections stealing now.

So the original debt 'was paid' by govt. insurance and then collections bought the debt so the original creditor got paid twice. Then the debt was sold another 4 times.
