What Christianity must do and Become to be a Force for Christ JESUS now and in the world to come.

Ok.. starting question to those who are members of GLP and ATTEND a Church... What does your church do for NOW.. living in stuff 2000+ years old is not NOW. And again.. I want MINDS and not bible quotes.

How big is the church you attend? Which one of the divided versions do you belong too? How does it use its money... that sort of thing first. Be back later.. going to do a tad of kitchen stuff...

For Church to make a comeback it must provide what Satan already provides and then something more.

1. Engaging Entertainment and fun activity
2. Youthful peers to mingle with, desirable people
3. A sense of network and community that actually has tangible benefits like finding jobs etc.
4. A system of involvement in the Church, like Degrees, study Mormon structure.
5. Finally, stop preaching "Trust us and have faith" and start showing people how to meditate and teach others to do so. Teach them how to pray, what to pray for, and why it's important to leave behind the material when approaching the Father through Christ. When people start having REAL spiritual experiences instead of empty promises and platitudes, they will be back and they will tell others and the coffers will overflow to the point that no Christian should even have to work if the money were shared.

teach meditation.. not prayer. God is in the mind. Lots of churches in my small town I grew up had engaging entertainment.. and no spirit. all social except for dumb sermons. in actuality I never witnessed a non dumb sermon.. ever.

Sermons need to totally disappear.

Yeah, but you see, what they teach is universal and highly applicable. They never ask you to stop with all the Christ.

Get the members in the audience to speak...actually when my previous minister got them to tell the stories.. things actually improved...

I like it, the Mormons do it, however, there is a tendency to try to "give them what I think they want" which is usually a down-low "Look how special I am! Look how Godly!" story.

This is also why a system of degrees and different services for different degrees would be helpful. It might create envy but let's face it...some people SIMPLY CANNOT HANDLE the truth and the version of truth that they need is Kindergarten level.

And that needs to be okay.

in the tiny church I belonged to before covid and the activity center here was shut down... the God stories were the best.. always personal experiences. Many like some in my angel stories thread.. people don't know the difference between angels and and the Father within them though.. when they get help. If you ask for a new job.. your angels not it. not that sky fellow. The difference needs to be taught and comprehended... but some personal stories that PROVED to me.. they had real "god" contact.. were really fine. And I had a few to tell too. One of which is how I found the little church a few weeks after I moved into this community.

I was asked from my buddies above.. to take a walk around the community building after dark. Inside one of the windows was a group of people meeting in the library. a library now closed by the way..... I felt I should get into the building but didn't have a code I needed yet.. so I banged on the door and somebody let me in.. it was the monthly meeting of the church board and the minister was suggesting he was going to leave.. well it was the minister that needed me...and he didn't leave.

Understand Christianity is broken everywhere.. in terms of a person believes his sect has the only truth.. I have been to churches where they won't go to the church down the street because that on is evil.

Being a Christian, believing in Jesus and God does not start in a church. Some of the most caring, loving, and Christian people I know don't go to church but they know the Bible. I think it starts in the heart and shows with love. We can start by being nicer to each other becoming more calm within ourselves.
