Redken "Curvaceous" lotion. It leaves your hair in soft ringlets and smells GREAT!

Re: What are some of the best curl creams for hair that you have tried?
Most of them are terrible, and I think it depends on your curl type and also the weather. Perhaps artificial hair color makes a difference. Add porosity to the mix too. Most products that are labeled curl cream make my curl tighter and frizzy.

So, for reference, I have strawberry blond hair that I would put in the medium blond category and then I have some artificial lighter blond highlights thrown in sometimes. My curl type is 2c/3a.

How much I wash makes a difference. If I do 1 shampoo without repeating, styling products don’t do anything but make me frizzy. I do 2 and sometimes 3 shampoos. No matter what shampoo I use I condition with Cantu rinse out conditioner which is probably manufactured with African hair in mind but works great on my hair too.

What has been giving me the best curl lately...lots of Cantu leave in conditioner (comes in a large jar and is different from the rinse out conditioner) followed by a fistful of Eufora Formation Mousse.

I would like to devote a sentence to what a pain in the butt it is to comb through just washed thick long curly hair. Okay one more sentence...It is an event.

Gosh, I literally have a whole basket full of leave in hair creams, mousses, seems to be an addiction I have to get the perfect curl.

I'll have to update with my favorites when I get up, LOL, feeling lazy now.

Honestly, pure coconut oil is really awesome if you don't over do it. Seems to make your hair healthier too. Sometimes I use as a base under other curling creams or just hit the ends with the coconut to really nourish, blah, blah, blah.

This is my method, and works for my curls.

Garnier Curl Butter and/or the Garnier Sleek and Shine leave in conditioner. Scrunch it in your wet hair, let air dry, then scrunch it again when its dry and crunchy until all the crunch is gone. Beautiful bouncy defined curls that last mostly all day. Refresh and scrunch in the evening with It's A 10 Miracle leave in if needed.

Seems like everything else I've tried weighs my hair down, makes it crunchy and hard, or makes it so greasy.

Out of all the products mentioned, are any of them (besides pure coconut oil) all natural and organic? That’s what I’d really like to find and I don’t care if it’s expensive if it works.

I like cantu products best. I also use Aussie miracle curl products.

I love the Aussie smells. I'll have to try the miracle curl. That will be easy to find on a shopping trip.

I use 1 product by Aveda anti humectant for when I wear my hair straight. They do have a curly hair line but I've never tried it. I would pay extra for Aveda since I know it's good stuff. But I am afraid I will like it and want to buy it regularly. Not 100% sure they are organic?

I'm starting my collection too. I love to saturate my hair in coconut oil for the nourishment and it feels even softer after a shampoo.

This is my favorite too. Even the next day I don't have to wash because it's easy to get the curl back with just a little cream.

It's perfect and inexpensive. I tried the shampoo and conditioner and I didn't like that. I do have the curl activating spray but I'll try the sleek and shine. We have similar results so it will probably work with my hair too.

Pro curl by royal locks. Best I’ve ever used. I have ultra thin curly hair and I use a lot of the product. It doesn’t weigh down your hair and dries soft.

this stuff is very very light. I could use a lot of it and not even notice I over did it. The fragrance is spicy but light too, I don't know what those Moroccan scents are but they don't smell floral. I would rather have floral but this isn't bad. No hard feeling at all, this stuff is leaving my hair very soft so far. It could even be better than the Garnier. I'll know at the end of the day or tomorrow morning how well it holds up and feels.

I LOVE Redken ! I have thick fine hair, when I use my curling iron for wave I use the REDKEN Paste...just enough to work through lightly. I can work it through the day to ‘fluff’ a bit. Gives great texture and hold.

You all aren't going to believe this. I think I found a winner. I washed my hair again yesterday and put this on and it's the best. No crunch, no hard feeling, totally soft, my curls are way more defined. I did put some on my hair dry this morning so it felt a little heavy at first but it's drying up and it feels good like yesterday. The price is under $6 AND there is twice as much cream in the container as my others, this has 12oz the others only 6oz. I'm going to try the other stuff in this line. It's surprisingly super stuff.

I tried this one yesterday and it made my hair softer than the others. It just has a chemical scent to it that isn't pleasant. I can live with the smell, my hair didn't need any cream to restyle this morning. The overnight performance was the best I've ever had. Just a little tussle here and there and no product needed at all to restyle in the morning. I just showered and put it in again.

Do not use Deva curl products. There is a class action lawsuit against it due to hair loss, and in some cases relaxing people’s curl , eaving it frizzy and matted looking.

Try Curlsmith products. Gentle on hair and it brings out your best curl.

that's horrible! Dry shampoo makes hair fall out too, avoid any and all of that.

Just got some Curlsmith. So far I like! My hair if fairly thin and it gives me body, enhances my curls and no frizz. Smells good too.
