No, I had to stop taking it, it was tearing my stomach up horribly. I was nauseas most of the day and the acid reflux I developed was horrendous. I'm still trying to get that cleared up, but the aloe vera juice I got is seeming to help. At least I'm not waking up in the middle of the night feeling like my stomach is an active volcano, spewing hot lava up into my throat....

You can stop without the Chantix. Especially if you haven't actually smoked while using it. It's not a bunch of fun, but if I can do it, literally anybody can. It's been 28 years since my last cig. My mom gave me $200 for whatever the "cure" was back then, but I was so cheap that I just quit and kept the money for emergencies. The cravings took a while to leave. The want took a couple of years. The secret, sneaking desire... I don't think about it regularly, but if I knew the world was going to end tonight, I might just buy a pack. But it had better end, because I'd be right back up to a pack a day in no time (until it killed me).

just install a new OS of the same kind and see if that will fix the off/open issue. If not it's a hardware issue, maybe a cap on the board is shorting out, maybe it's a battery issue?...it could be your hard drive is getting ready to crap out...simple repairs compared with buying a new laptop all together. I never buy, I refur them....plenty of youtube vids to help you...answer what to do.

Once I get finished with this rolling moment I'm having, I'm going to find a yt video that shows how to take the back off, so I can see what it is I'm going to be met with....if I even try to do it myself.

Given that it scares me like a little sissy girl to think about doing it, that means I NEED to do it.....

If I can't do it myself, then I'm going to have to find someone else in my area that's old hat at cleaning them out, besides that $170 guy....and yes, I'm non-pulsed by posters telling me that isn't all that much.

Louis and I both are fairly convinced it just needs to be cleaned out....I mean, I watched a cat hair go down in between the keys yesterday evening, and I was trying to pull it out before it went all the way in.

What?...is there some kind of dust, crumbs, weed, cat hair magnetic attractant in the inner workings of this HP?....

Because I've seen those things to seem like they're getting sucked in there....

I suppose it could be the fan, huh?....yeah.

I'll tell y'all what, though....if I do open it up, blow it out and wipe it up, and get it put back together all perfectly fine, all on my own?

I prefer desktops to laptops. They're easy to fix and with a Uninterruptible Power Supply they have a battery for when the power goes out. With mobile broadband you can't knock them off the net. Then they're upgradable too. A solar panel, an inverter a UPS, mobile broadband and a Small Form Factor desktop.

Although laptops are great for when you're out and about.

Wow how do you cope with the trolls?

Hookay, so I have opened the HP up and blew it out. I purchased CCCleaner, and it updated I think it was 11 drives needing updating, but it got hung up in that process. It took a whole day to get those done, and when I contacted CCCleaner about the problem, updating the drivers was finished very quickly. It was only $30 for a year, and that is worth the piece of mind it gives me....because techo dodo brian.

I WAS really thinking it was Hulu or Chrome, because it was seeming like the awful electronic sound, the blue screen with "Your device has run into a problem," and then restarting, and I was going this morning to uninstall Hulu and Chrome, and reinstall them, to see if there was a bug in one of those programs.

BUT....lol, there's always "But, but, buts" going on in my head about techno stuff....BUT, I turned it on when I got up this morning, and it instantly restarted itself upon opening Chrome....heh, and that is bullshit first thing in the morning, I tell you, the cussing was epic....

It restarted, and I went to Mozzila to log into GLP, was listening to a lovely piano piece on yt someone posted, and it did it again. Twice, in like a half hour....and it happened not while watching Hulu OR while on Chrome.

I'm really happy that happened before I did the unistall/reinstall gig....because that would've been a waste of time.

I do now believe the machine is going down...."She's breaking up, Captain!"....

Because I suspect it might stop working any minute now, I have picked out a laptop I want, an ACER again, and I'm going to order it when I get my SS drop on the 18th.

I have my old ACER I can use - I so loved that laptop, really reliable - until I get the new one, if I have to. It does have one or two keys that don't work properly...but at least I'd have something to use until I get the new one, if the HP does go down.
