Not an evolution apologist here but if your going to go after the theory, at least do it in an honest and credible fashion. If you misrepresent the theory in such a gross way, you will never be taken seriously by those you are trying to reach.

The theory says we have a common ancestor from LONG, LONG ago. It doesn't say we evolved from chimps.

The real threat to the theory of evolution is the probability and math are squarely against it. The other threat is DNA. Simply put, where does the NEW DNA come from that represents even the slightest step along an evolutionary change. Turns out even the slightest adaptation constitutes a sizable enough increase in new DNA that all present theories of where it came from fall way short. This leads in to the probability problem, you would have to have enough breeding pairs with the same adaptation at the same time to establish the new species going forward. Considering the diversity the fossil record shows and the relative short time for that diversity to develop, evolution via adaptation seems very unlikely. Worse, the diversity today is significantly less then it was 10,0000 or even 100,000 years ago so the fossil record shows we are actually moving from greater to lesser diversity which is the exact opposite prediction of the theory of evolution.

Slant-eyed, docile orangutans,
pink-faced, community-oriented rhesus macaques
flat-nosed, lazy gorillas,

greenish black skinned, ruthlessly aggressive chimps.

Explain again how the octopus conceived/constructed the lens for it's eyes please, I may have missed a few thousand steps, simple me. Oh and about an insect NON-intelligently designing/assembling/operating the compound eye, with zero knowledge of optics, how did it know which amino acids to assemble, by sheer random chance of course?
