Quoting: Half Past Midnight They run under the spray of the hose and also follow the water from the sprinkler. I always loved robins. The magpies here remind me of them, the way the grown babies still beg like they’re little. Wrens don't like it though. Quoting: Half Past Midnight They take dirt baths in the garden. The babies along with a parent just 5 feet from me as I pull weeds. Awwwwww! |

Quoting: Peter W Morgan Hmmmmm good idea, what’s that famous song by mister mister.... Oh jeez I gotta chill on them though, they poop all over and I basically have to scrub off the veranda (Australian word for porch) every time I feed them fruit. |

Sitting here drinking coffee as a Robin repeatedly smacks itself into my bedroom window. Things gone mad. I guess it's his reflection he is after. Quoting: Stephenbroman Oh yea we got these bird here called pee wee’s and they do that to car mirrors |

Quoting: chasity You can keep attracting them by growing some spray millet in your yard. Parrots love those seeds. I feel so lucky! seriously though if we have any kind of seed around we will get the other birds.... rosellas and top notch’s, and those are the small ones. I would be devastated if the cats got one (it’s already happened and I save a feather) :rosella: |

Seriously though I know I am lucky and wish I could share this beauty with my friends here, like you who loves a bird. Everyday I wake up and can hardly believe my luck. To think that all this beauty in my life is because I was on glp.... I am so grateful!!! |

User ID: 79380926 United Kingdom 04/03/2021 09:17 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I love Birds. I have Bird feeders in my Garden, and have filled them regularly for years. Watching them all grow up from Chicks etc. developing their own little personalities. I have 2 Robbins, a fat one like a Tennis Ball, and a young skinny one. When ever i am gardening, they come right up to me because i give them meal worms. The 2 Robbins started appearing regularly after 2 deaths in the family. One was really tragic, my best friend was killed by a Coach that ran through a red light. And my wife mother died peacefully in her sleep. So a part of me is always wondering. He'll take one every couple months. Oh wow! Ours wants one every other day but apparently for the 21 years before I got here he didn’t care for baths. Your bird(since he is in US) probably doesn’t have others of his kind outside taunting him. Ours gets food and he chirps about it, then 20-30 of them in the neighbourhood hear our bird and come around thinking there is food. They bathe in the baths we set up outside and then our bird inside wants his bath (or if I do dishes and he hears the water splashing). They talk to eachother. |

I name most of them but there are too many lorikeets to name. The only one I can recognise has a broken beak, and I make sure she gets a whole grape to herself. |

Quoting: Lover_Girl You're in an area that is more tropical all year round or it just doesn't get that cold? I've seen so many videos with wild cockatoo's just walking into people's homes then leaving lol. It's so amazing watching those silly birds in Austrailia! Please record some for us to watch sometimes! I love the lori's, we have them at our zoo but they've been mysteriously dying so the exhibit has been closed. We could interact with them in the exhibit. Last Edited by By Owner Req on 04/03/2021 01:14 PM grass fed sardines |
