I am a believer but wonder if God had to die in human form for our sins because of some supernatural reason or did god do it for effect it would have on human acceptance?

If I was god I would have just done a toast over wine and forgave everyone.

Less stress and pain that way.

"He died for our sins" can mean he died because we sinned and it can also mean he died as payment for our sins.

Trust me, look around you, and notice that dying for your sins accomplished nothing. He died because the people around him were immoral sinners. That's it.

The lord died because the people around him were evil. Thats what it means. It doesn't mean hes some nice guy who sacrificed himself for your benefit. If this is hard to accept than realize that at the end of time God comes back to murder almost everyone.

The horseman of the apocalypse in most religions comes back as the final incarnation of God and kills everyone for some reason. What could it be?

Exactly. Today is the day our loving Lord and Savior was tortured and beat, had massive injuries inflicted and then crucified, all for our continuous sinning. To allow US to live. I feel we are such a disappointment to him, but he still loves us dearly.
