Do you do good deeds in hopes of receiving good Karma?

I don't do any good deeds because I am selfish.

No, deeds are neither good nor bad, they are merely deeds- the attribution one places on them (and whether they are in alignment with the Vinaya/Precepts or not, is a good indicator whether or not a certain act, thought or word will produce future fortuitous outcomes or 'less-than' fortuitous outcomes (at some time unbeknownst to the agent of course, least they are a high-level Bodhisattva or Arhat- in which case 'Trust the Plan")

I"m getting to the point where I hate most people I get in, I get out, and I get home. Maskers and vaxers have made my life hell. Covid is turning people against each other. And i"m ready for war.

If they do them to get good dharma, you are actually doing nothing but trying to deceive, so karma (the bad deal) will for sure be what they get.

It is about INTENT, If your intent was to harm, hurt, hinder down the track this is coming back to you big time

If it was to deceive (ie fake karma crawler) same deal.

If you do good simply as It is the right thing to do and to do otherwise you would feel shame of self, your on the right track.

I did a chick named Miss Deeds, she was good. I expected nothing after that.

I think I avoid bad deeds to avoid bad karma. Is that the same thing though? Is there neutral karma?

Or does karma just strike like lightening good or bad?
