Theres an illusion breaking condition that's reflected by the analogy of your own dream world. You must consider that your dream is a reflection of your own mind and what can directly influence it. If you were to realize inside your own dream that there was a larger you that controlled the foundation of that dream and the current reality within that dream then it would be true that the characters around you are an extension of yourself and made in your image. It would then be a question of if or if not these images of yourself reject or accept you based on your own perception and recognition of self.

That is to say, if tom and sally agree that you are the god of their reality inside your own dream, is it really them that agrees with you or is it you agreeing with yourself? If they call you crazy and deny you, are they a representation of yourself or a plot device?

I might ask you now that you consider where those characters in your dream who die go exactly? Do they go to the after life? Are they dead? Do they continue to live on in you?
