So the neglect of the family was probably the tip of the iceberg. If your partner is missing something, then their love won't taste right, if it is missing a lot, it becomes uneatable and should thrown in the bin. : ) |

[link to www.verywellmind.com (secure)] I never thought about it the cake way but that makes perfect sense. I suppose this is my underlying reason for believing we can love anyone, when all these needs are met, we can all live happily ever after with anyone that has achieved all levels. I didn't love my husband when we got married, in fact we decided to get married based on ourselves and what we had to offer, not what the other had to offer. We made our own contract, I liked what he said he was going to do, he liked what I said I am going to do. We learned to love each other but not in the stereotypical way. No romance was involved in the making of our love, just fucking the lights out of each other was enough. grass fed sardines |

I was such a jerk in school, nothing stuck, but you seem very intelligent to remember all that. Lot's of people don''t marry their soulmate <- to me that is just as much a foreign concept, It is not real, because it didn't happen to me, I never even met a "soulmate." For some people it does exist though, so all I can say is God bless them and all their happiness. |

Quoting: MAGNUS 74 I feel the same way about soul mates, I think that whole thing is retarded because it's not based on anything tangible other than feelings. until 1 day I figured something odd out. My oldest child was born on my grandfathers birthday and years later I remember she was conceived on my grandmothers birthday. So that meant my grandfather was also conceived on my grandmothers birthday and I just thought how sweet. But he was born a couple years before she was born. It get's stranger, somehow my husband was conceived on my first birthday and born 9 months later. I am 2 years older than him. So that's the closest I got to soul mate with proof, sort of. I would just like the facts, not the feelings. I have feelings, I express feelings but I don't let them control my life. So you think memory and intelligence go hand in hand? I didn't really remember it, my kids and I were having a debate about one of those needs then somehow this popped in my head and oh yeah, 4th grade. It is just a theory but maybe I liked it and wanted to live it when I first read about it. I used to think memory and intelligence were 1 in the same too but I don't think so anymore, that's just applies to book smart people. They learn differently. I believe true intelligence is something discovered and not memorized. grass fed sardines |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 77070158 United States 04/02/2021 02:31 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I just really admire people who have a good memory, like people who can recite poetry and recall something they learned a long time ago, because mine is so bad. I played a lot of football and boxed / fought when I was younger, but I can't blame it all on that, I got my ninth or tenth concussion just last year, cause I tried to stand on my kitchen table to change a light bulb and it collapsed. Apparently I cleaned up the best I could and left my oldest daughter a note so that when she came home from school and saw all the blood and smashed table she would not be scared, went to the grocery store like normal, walking around with bloody Kleenex jammed up my nose, (it was broken) Ran my Friday 45 minute conference call with the sales team, and started to cook diner, before my fiancee came home and found me and took me to the ER. I don't remember a thing about that day except for when it happend - and I have had some more fog since then. I just felt I would be 10X smarter if I could just remember things better. So, maybe memory is just like love, you don't appreciate it, until you lose it. You are smart : ) |
