I remember being 10 years old on the farm and my German Shepard was having puppies, it was an amazing sight, watching this natural processes as a kid and I stayed with her all while she delivered. As she licked the sac from number 3, she picked it up in her mouth and ate it. I was like NO! NO! bad dog, bad dog and hit her on her nose, and she just looked at me, like I was so stupid. <- they are expressive dogs.

I recently fell in love. It was magical and it happened to both of us quickly. I said the three words to her and she said them back. 2 days later she's run away saying she's not ready and carries too much shame. It's difficult to understand how something as beautiful as love has been so destructive. I miss her.

oh you would have loved the post I made years ago when my husband rearranged the furniture. I posted a picture of his sign, it said "TROL CENTER" with an arrow pointing under the stairs. He put my computer and chair there. I felt so official like I was actually under a bridge!

Birds are assholes, I don't care if they mate for life, that means nothing. My mother only mated with my father, that doesn't mean she loved him, she was just trying to make a good cover story.

Mating with someone does not mean love. especially birds, totally incapable of expressing love. It's so one sided from them. Sure they will give some nudges and snuggles but only because they want to be scratched. Then they bite you and draw blood, it's always on their terms. They are big asshole pets, don't ever consider getting one unless don't mind being used and abused by total fluffy cuteness!
