That war accosted America everything in it's day just as the War on Terrorism has completely destroyed all of America's authority on pretty much everything. Both wars were initiated using unjust force and reasoning. However, the Vietnam War was unique. The vastly superior U.S. Military lost the Vietnam War because of this fact -- our Military was forced to strictly abide by asinine rules. Our Air Force was fully capable of bombing the living daylights out of every Vietnam strategic location within a week's time. Our ground forces would of easily mopped up most likely the entirety of what was left of the Vietnamese's military. So the only reason to ever celebrate the Vietnam War Veteran's Day is to let as many people know just how FUBARed it was all from the get-go. Let the truths out. Conspiracy Theorist is nothing more than a derogatory title used to dismiss a critical thinker. A time is coming when men will go mad, and when they see someone who is not mad, they will attack him, saying, 'You are mad; you are not like us." -- St. Anthony The Great Social Credit Loser here. |

Then we tucked tail and took off like bitches in '75. To you codgers that got sucked into it when you were young men, I'm so sorry for you. Your own government did this. After they kicked our asses out and repaired the damage, it's a pretty damned nice country these days. |

It's a day to remember how it was.. a very sobering era indeed. Most of the guys and few gals that went into the service during the Vietnam era, were still teenagers who were not even of legal age to drink yet. Most didn't have a clue about gov't agendas, war games between countries, any of that! Most of these were freaking KIDS.. who wanted to serve their country with pride. And nearly all of them were in for a gigantic shock when they got 'over there' and into the fray, and realized what they were in for. Many who made it out alive still cannot put into words this day the sheer nightmare they went thru, what they were 'ordered' to do, by their commanders. Not to mention those who absolutely refused to obey such insane orders from their commanders, and when standing to walk away, were either shot by the commander, or by another soldier on orders from the commanders. And of course, that death was written off as 'friendly fire'. :/ And then.. those soldiers who made it back home alive... perhaps wounded, yet alive.. how were they received by their hometowns?? They were SPIT on, jeered at, booed, insulted, things thrown at them, etc etc. Oh yes, they learned all right. It may have taken them several years of a living hell to get there. Yet none of this was their fault. The blame lays squarely on the commanders dishing out the orders and on our govt leaders. How do I know all this? Because I was one of the few gals who went into the service back then. Most of those who came back alive who won't talk about those days, often will sit with a fellow comrade, who can listen in silence, understanding, over the years, even just crying together at times. Some gave all. All gave some. Remember that. And for those commanders, govt leaders. karma...... |
