You don’tthink spirits might lie to you and say they are god or Jesus?
Better to judge them by what they are telling you, whether it is of good or evil, and don’t kill your son just because god says he wants you to do it as proof you will always obey and not question his orders.

Of course they do.

One of my sons is a "schizophrenic", and hears voices in his head. Aggressive, mean, controlling voices, who seek to influence him to harm himself in any way they can. They have absolutely no problem pretending to be "Jesus" and "God", and do so all the time.

The Bible says Satan is the father of lies, and has nothing but lies in him. Why would anyone think demons would answer questions truthfully?

Jesus says to "judge the tree from the fruit", which makes a hell of a lot more sense than asking demons if they're good boys or not and taking their words for it.

I don't even put up with that shit ... they tried that method using my own voice once not too long ago, their first attempt ..

I told them that is the only real time I get to remove my leash for a bit and truly have fun.

Two entirely different scenarios.

1. "Test a spirit" that you do not "recognize".

- Paul asked "Who are you Lord?". Jesus told him.
- Father God either "announced Himself" or also said
"I Am the God of your Father" or similar.

2. "Do not put God to the test" means DO NOT try
to FORCE God into doing something.

In the Jesus vs satan encounter in the wilderness,
satan was trying to get Jesus to FORCE the Father
to SEND the angels as previously written in scripture.

I hope this explanation makes sense to you.

I don't believe that spirits nor Satan himself can even claim to serve the "one true God" - the Father in Heaven.

That's not to say that the Antichrist won't claim to BE God.
I'm pretty sure that happens once he's donce several MAJOR miracles.

2 Corinthians 11:14- 15

14 And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light.
15 It is not surprising, then, if his servants also masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will be what their actions deserve.

What is the biblical correlation to voices in your head and testing of spirits?

Pneumatos means literally breath, or wind, or that which is blown.

Yet Jesus cast out spirits from folks who had been "possessed" by them.

I'm not arguing that it doesn't also mean spirit at times. I believe it is the voice in the breath, primarily, that is being talked about here, as opposed to what's in the head of the hearer.

Ask, and feel.

In my ongoing refining of my abilities, the Heart is an important element in discernment.

One can receive all sorts of transmissions but the potential to be misguided is HUGE.

I know some very loving/spiritual people that are severely misguided due to lacking discernment.

Look at who humanity worships... Celebrities. Politicians. Could it be said that humanity in large lacks discernment? I think so.

Job heard God in a whirlwind, specifically. But God spoke to Elijah in a low whisper rather than through the noise of the wind and fire. It seems a little confusing at times but my interpretation of these encounters with the voice of God is that they are actual audible voices heard externally, not in your head.

The entities will not tell you the truth, they are called familiar spirits for a reason. They are very attuned to just about everything about you and everything you do and the people around you are doing. In other words they have the long view and you don't.

If you have no authority in Jesus Christ they are not going to tell you exactly what you want to hear, and what they want you to hear. Never listen , never trust it.

“I have heard what the prophets have said who prophesy falsely in My name, saying, ‘I had a dream, I had a dream!’ How long? Is there anything in the hearts of the prophets who prophesy falsehood, even these prophets of the deception of their own heart, who intend to make My people forget My name by their dreams which they relate to one another, just as their fathers forgot My name because of Baal?

Judge what the voice is telling you to do, whether it is legal or not, whether it violates your conscience, you own moral view of right and wrong, whether it is for good or evil result. Think about spending the rest of your life in prison before obeying an evil spirit that calls itself God or Jesus or Prophet Moroni, or whatever religious figure you respect.

Just because God in the Bible praised Abram for being willing to kill his son doesn’t mean you must also obey every command of God .

Never any shortages of isolated instances where bad outcomes look to be the norm

Have you given him niacin, vitamin B3? It worked wonders for a young man I knew many years ago. I believe that he took niacinamide, which doesn’t cause flushing. All symptoms of schizophrenia stopped in a day or so.

Adelle Davis wrote about using niacin/niacinamide for schizophrenia in her book, Let’s Eat Right To Keep Fit. Old book, but I thin’ it’s available on Kindle.

Most people who her a voice are mentally ill,confused, stressed,and probably hallucinating. It can happen to anyone, but specially if you are starting to read the bible for the firts time and too much, Like many hours a day and like trying to read it entirely. You can get cut into history,fantasy, reality, ficcion, and your own mind make its own present as a conbination of everything. The farther you go the worse it gets. specially for those who get it all wrong. Reading the bible doesnt meant the understanding of God words, teachings and wills for humanity. Some people only get whatever they like or serve their own porpuse. God give understandingand blind their sight to who ever he wants to.

i ask it - Are you of Christ? i have heard it so long though that i can now discern pretty well. the "devil" voice is a little bit shaky and the Word of God is stern and forthright and powerful.

The man who opened fire with an AR-15 assault rifle in a Tennessee Waffle House in 2018 testified that God told him to do it.

He believed he was communicating directly with God. He believed regular people walking around were out to hurt him and had been hurting him. Mr. Reinking believed he was commanded by God to go to the Waffle House in defense of himself and other people. The people at Waffle House were, in his mind, government agents.
[Unfortunately for him, that was not a valid legal reason to kill, and he was convicted of committing premeditated murder and sentenced to life in prison without parole.]

Prosecutors emphasized Reinking’s own account of the shooting: He said that after killing Perez, "I felt like I was going to throw up because this was something God told me to do but it felt evil."
[Lesson learned: Don’t ignore your own moral conscience when it comes to deciding right from wrong. ]
