From what I understand this is bad. You will hear more about it soon. Yes, iodine.

Radiation has 3 elements to track when working with it. Time, distance and shielding. Short time exposure with good led shielding with plenty of distance from source and you can manage. Heavy metals fallout close to leak and don’t travel far. Light ions float in the air currents. Iodine mainly.

Keep track of the winds. When the winds blow your way, stay inside and filter the air as much as possible. Boy in the bubble idea. Seal up your living space so the outside dust doesn’t come in. Actually if you have people who have allergies it’s close to the same idea. Damp dust all horizontal surfaces, vacuum with Hippa filters, dawn and doff garb outside, keep shoes outside, wear rain slick for outside (easy to rinse down). Pets inside.

If exposed, wash off, cut hair immediately. Again the longer the time with no shielding, the more the exposure.

Don’t eat strawberries, mushrooms or milk. All grow in large surface areas and concentrate the toxins.

It depends on what your dealing with. If you live down wind, think about moving.

This movie is dramatic but you can see the idea of sealing up your living space.

Yes, but no one of any authority is using the term. “Radiation levels are rising” “soldiers sick with radiation poisoning” “layers of dirt radioactive” etc. As it was told to me, the rods are kept below the water line, as a safety measure. The leaks have gone into the local ground water. The fires are started from ground heat. The cars don’t seem to last long in the area.

Everything in the area, from all accounts is melting, but no one is using the term “meltdown”.
