Woodpecker has a bad day !

With just a flicker it was gone .

In the past few days I've seen a redheaded woodpecker and a redheaded buzzard just a block or so from my house.

The woodpecker was the cuter of the two. But the buzzards are better behaved, as they don't peck on the house.

So. In Ventura Ca...these guys are making nests at the top of the electric poles. yeah hollowing out the top of what I always thought was a petrified log, apparently its not.

So they hollow out the top and lay their eggs and such but apparently there are spots in the country area where the top of the electric line is almost or completely disconnected from the pole due to this...


Anyway, this seems to be rather widespread. In many cases the pole is replaced with the woodpeckers relocated...probably into the wood chipper.

But this video...Lol.

Sending this to my friend who told me of the issue with the woodpeckers about a year ago. That thing just disappeared...smh. Seriously Zapped...Where's Scott Baio?

theres a woodpecker here that keeps pecking at the metal antenna pole...theres no wood on that thing but he persisted for almost a week at the same spot.

That could be anywhere between 155K and 765K Volts. Poof!!

When id visit my friend, he had one that would peck where the sun hit the window every morning for 2 years.
one day it didnt wake me up...
he said it died.

so i guess they have like a 2 year lifespan

And feathers smoke a lot when they burn.

I've seen 2x4's vanish the same way in demonstrations of what if you screw up . Not to be taken lightly .
