Grammas cocoa chocolate cake, with 7 minute chocolate frosting. Its the reason i love that to this day, but sadly can't anymore without being as big as the side of a barn. Cuz I'd eat her chocolate cake on a daily.

She had a small trash can in the kitchen next to a bigger one...the small one had the band The Monkees on it, and she got mad if anyone put anything in it other than "paper scraps"

Sorry about the bad memories...though all memories are in some way good....my Granddaddy made an awesome chili and also smoked the best brisket of all time.

No, she said it took a lot of time to clean out any gunk in it. I have no idea why or what she was thinking...this was back in the late 70s...maybe she was just messing with us kids?

my grandfather once told me if I ever wash the dishes again he's going to tie me up to the swing and smear honey all over me so the bees would bite me lol. I don't think that would have worked but I never washed the dishes again, I left soap all over them lololol. That was the scariest thing I ever heard in my 2 or 3 years of life! LOLOLOL

Oh i know what she's talking about, sometimes the bag slips off and just stuff builds up at the bottom of the can. I have to wash mine out every couple months it's a pain in the ass. have to do it in the bathtub with bleach. But I think it's a good idea to wash the trash can cause it's just gross.

Chicken and dumplings, hands down. My Mammaw also made the best biscuits in the universe. Her bacon was better than anybody else's (to this day), and I also loved her cornbread fritters and fried eggs.

She cooked pretty much everything with a cast iron skillet and a fork. Lol.
