RAP MUSIC - Immortal Technique

Rap music sucks now. (Or for the haters out there, it has always been a terrible medium of art & creative expression).


In my Eminem thread, someone enlightened me to a rapper who goes by the alias "Immortal Technique"

Thread: Tweedle dee tweedle dum

Immortal Technique, has a great flow and funny political insights.

One Bar, I find highly enlightening is when he describes the war on Iraq. His political insights are often poetic and eloquently expressed in his vocals.

Immortal Technique's view on wars lead by the leaders of USA:


"Word the fuck up n*g%&r"
"Like we invading *i#ge^'s because we want to free them."
"You racist motherfuckers."
"You don't give a shit about those people...
"...you can suck my dick!"

His lyrics ooze with timeless wisdom. He eloquently describes how he exercises his right to free speech, by nonchalantly informing his listeners:

"Freedom of speech motherfucker."

I like the confidence he expresses in his lyrics and his life.

Rap is a very low vibrating, dark, negative music.

It serves it's purpose for the segment of society that understands and processes information through cultural entertainment of that genre.

Razrin how old are you. you sound like you're in your late thirties maybe 40 and miss the old days of run dmc. rap isn't dead it has evolved. there is a lot of garbage out there but a lot of good new music too from east west midwest and down south.

Yeah, thats what happens when you generalize and make assumptons, friend.

Often people will make blanket statements by the influence of their peer groups.

IE:

Friend1: I hate rap
Friend2: I hate rap too!
Friend3: Yeah I hate rap too!
Friend4: Hey, i`ve got a great idea, how about we band our hatred together and unify our opinion to the other people in the world who don`t really care about the issue!
Friend1: Yes, that sounds good.

In reality, niether of any of the social group has ever really listened to any song or music. They just need to validate their hatred in themselves somehow to an external, illusionary enemy. IE: RAP MUSIC, CHRISTIAN MUSIC, COUNTRY MUSIC.

i've endured alot of racism from this site, so why wouldn't i think most of the people hated black music?

Hate and racism will never go away. It's a human fact.

Even if the world would experience a huge cleansing, say only a million people in it's entirety survive...racism and hate may be put on the back burner for quite some time, but eventually mankind's sinful nature will bring it back. This is what I believe....I certainly would LOVE to be proven wrong.

This is true, and HATE is a very strong and powerful word....I try never to use it...especially when generalizing another Race.

I don't hate anyone, I just hate what some people do.

BLACK PEOPLE HAVE MADE MUCH BETTER MUSIC THAN RAP!
