As far as I can understand it, the whole physical reality is an illusion. When you look deeper into quantum physics, the EPR-paradox, wave-particle-duality and you understand that atoms are 99.9% empty space with some small portions of energy spinning around, you might come to the conclusion, that physical reality is a kind of holographic projection, a simulation, a Matrix, Maya as it is called in Sanskrit or at least you might grasp what Plato tried to describe with his cave analogy.

From this perspective, good or bad CGI is just the lowest level of fakery. It’s a delusion inside a chimera. If you feel like you woke up because you saw through some cheap CGI you might miss the bigger picture that the Matrix is the overreaching deception which you can only transcend by going within. My 2 cents.
