Well again, I would imagine that those of us who have been doing this for awhile and know the game have reached a point where we are not willing to automatically accept anything we see as being 100% real. So throwing out a botched one to try to trick us with "better" ones doesn't seem to be much of an issue in that regard. We shouldn't assume anything we see is real. Which is why I just think it's done to cause more frustration and chasing after the wind.

I mean maybe that Biden video is fake but it's so obvious! I mean they can't even get a Microphone right!" Who are you worried about, you and I, or the guy I just quoted? What kind of stuff can you sell when this is the dialogue in place? I wish you would just state what it is you understand. To answer your question, one purpose I could see for releasing an obviously fake video is to teach us that we are powerless. We are unable to get to the truth. Give up trying. Another point would be to trick us into thinking that when they fake videos, we will be able to tell that they are fake. So when they fake videos with strong intent to deceive, they can really deceive us. This assumes they are able to fake videos without making it obvious like this Biden video.
