In 2015 it was found to extend into Idaho, so maybe all the EQs are reflecting magma movement of the Yellowstone volcano?? Quoting: MarketPulse "The hot rock in the chamber is 4.4 times larger than the shallower, long-known tunnel previously mapped out, according to the study. Hsin-Hua Huang, who lead the research said in 2015: “For the first time, we have imaged the continuous volcanic plumbing system under Yellowstone. “That includes the upper crustal magma chamber we have seen previously plus a lower crustal magma reservoir that has never been imaged before and that connects the upper chamber to the Yellowstone hotspot plume below.”" The hot rock in the chamber is 4.4 times larger than the shallower, long-known tunnel previously mapped out, according to the study. Quoting: Osmium76 I noticed earthquakes today, there as I do EVERY DAY! If you go to the map below and select Satalite view and scroll in to where the quakes are you will see SMOKE, just slightly to the lower left of the earthquake epicenters. Is this now an Active Volcano? Is that Volcanic activity? [link to quakes.globalincidentmap.com] I wan't opinions on this! No, volcanoes there are extinct. DUMBS Embrace the cognitive dissonance. |

I would love to zoom in and see it, but the map jumps around to much for me to follow if I try to zoom in. Just looking at the area in orbital photographs, I can see the area you are describing is where the slope failure occurred and lave poured out Eastward from what is now called the Yellowstone Caldera. But that is for a different topic and thread Os. I would expect that area to be very active volcanically or have been active in recent history as that is very apparent in high altitude views. Until your military service has required you neutralize enemy combatants and invaders in the defense of your country, don't presume to tell us that have defended you that you don't support every shot we fired to eliminate that enemy. |

It's just a small set, totally forgot about that. In my mind I was thinking about my parents place, not my tiny house. My bad! The power company fixed the broken strand that was hanging down and arced earlier this winter and scared the crap out of me! |
