Umm, I heard sirens in the background on my tv.

I don't think people have discussed whatfor me what's the most interesting aspect of Biden's speech last night which was the way it was presented. He was not in the Oval Office at his desk as the President generally is when he makes a speech nor was he sitting seated in a chair like in front of a fireplace. He was not obviously in front of the media. I don't think I have ever seen a President give a speech where he walks down a hallway, goes to a podium and speaks from there from a teleprompter and then walks back down the hallway.

I have never seen that kind of setting for a speech. I considered that it was because they wanted to demonstrate the Biden is not as feeble as we think - they wanted to show that he can walk back and forth down a hallway unaided and read from a teleprompter for 20 minutes or so, but it might also be that he was not at the White House and that this was a projection from another location. The whole thing looked very odd to me and I would like to hear people's ideas on why he would have such an odd setting for his only speech to the Nation.
