So my daughter is using one of the Texas approved online high schools.
So many of the kids are so hopelessly behind that they have not competed Semester A which was supposed to end in early January. This is supposed to be week 8 of semester B

They kept extending the end date.

My daughter can’t even get the teachers to unlock the lessons or tests at this point so she can’t move forward. The teachers will not respond to her or me as to why. They are not grading her assignments. Not responding to emails. Not even showing up for their own zoom classes.

Then I get this email at 3 am:

“Update/Welcome for Geometry Semester B

BIG announcement:
All Course & Unit Activities have been removed from Geometry Semester B.
An alternate assignment will be given NEXT week.
In the meantime, focus on your Mastery Tests and Post Tests! “

A few weeks ago I was talking to a guy at church who has a kid in a different Texas online school - he was looking for a better place for his kid because he said that school was a joke. Had the same experiences we are having with my daughters school.

Anyone else have kids in online schools?

Online school info
Some states and districts will cover the tuition

[link to www.k12.com (secure)]

Others you will pay tuition

My state offers no tuition free options
We did individual ala carte courses through k12, then enrolled fulltime in Keystone to finish with a PA high school diploma. My son is special needs
