ever taken a greyhound bus across country{USA}? looking for advice
hi everyone. i am potentially going to be taking a bus from northern california to boston, some time from april to early june. one plus side to the pandemic is, i wont have to sit next to some sweaty fat person, or a drunk crazy person... because of social distance.

im pissed i wont be abe to smoke weed for 4 days so i plan to pack a bunch of THC gummies in my carry on, and probably some valerian capsules to help with sleep.

ive taken a greyhound across a ew states before but it was nothing compared to what this trip will be. we're talking 4 days, possibly 5 if the layovers/ transfers take longer(which they will).

if anyone has done this; gone across country in a bus.... what should i expect? any advice is highly appreciated! im kinda worried about it but i have a lot of good things waiting back in boston that i need to get to.

anything and everything . Ive been threatened to be stabbed and driver left the guy in the middle of nowhere hundreds of miles from the nearest town , crazy drunken parties in the back of the bus , dykes doing meth in their seats .

Greyhound is for the people too broke to afford 159 AA flight .

it might be a smooth no worries ride or the craziest shit youve ever seen . We picked up inmated being released from a prison on one stop.

I did it on a train once back in the ‘90s when I was in college. Told myself I would never do it again. My recollection is that it killed my back sitting so long. Make sure to get up and move every chance you get. Maybe try to eat less and take some imodium so you don’t have to crap much (I do this on extended hiking trips). Brings some Advil. Good luck!

I've taken cross-country bus rides several times, mostly for work. It's no picnic. I'd rather spend my last penny on renting a car than take a bus.

Amtrak out of the question? More expensive but it's a whole lot nicer.

This. Miserable experience. But if you're set on it make sure you have plenty of snacks and drinks in a carry on bag for the longer legs of the trip.

You can't count on the busses electric outlets to work for charging a phone.

You also can't count on the bus not breaking down and be prepared to get screwed over and missing a changeover due to being late. Most of the time you make it but...it happens more often than you would think.

They also won't think twice about tossing you off and leaving you stranded in the middle of nowhere. Seriously.

ETA: in the layovers in big cities it's advised to stay inside the bus station. Especially if you aren't used to big cities. It's not a good scene.

Re: ever taken a greyhound bus across country{USA}? looking for advice
Don't do it,dude.

I tried to go from Dallas to Knoxville on a bus back in the late 80's.

Made it to Little Rock and threw in the towel.

I can't imagine what it must be like now.

I guess it could be better now,if less peeps is on the road.

I wouldn't go anywhere right now unarmed and without at least one other person whose head is also on a swivel.

A Greyhound may not be the way.

You should remain where you're at and just stay much too high.

If you gotta go,though, try to find a trucker to ride with.

Well, I've only taken one Greyhound bus trip in my life and it was a complete looney bin.

I think one couple went back to have sex in the bathroom. The woman next to me was having a conversation with herself for the whole 5 hour trip.

What I'm trying to say, is that imagine all the crazy psychos on GLP, put them on a bus and that's what you've got.

They will probably all try to "red pill" you, and not orally if you know what I mean.

Good luck, write if you make it through alive!

Seeing as you're hell bent on doing this try to get a prescription for Xanax before you go, you're going to need something and you probably can't stay drunk that long. hf

try Megabus for whatever part of the route you can. I like it, my daughter liked it, for many reasons.

cheap

tends to stop at either parking lots on college campuses or at suburban mall locations....

no messy terminals to deal with.

I really liked Megabus and I am NOT easy to please.
When it comes to buses or trains, or planes, I want to be comfortable and safe.

Megabus was both.

Take the Amtrak if it is still there. You'll trade a sweaty crotch for an amazing scenery car where you float across the desert and through the mountains as if you are on a magic carpet.

I have done both. Amtrak 10 to 1.

And get some trim and make some oil or similar type product.

Bring a vape use it in the shitter.

or u can just get a smoke buddy and prob hit it in ur seat with proper positioning considering the social distancing.
Use the energy padwan. Don't fight it.
