Perhaps, after fusion is achieved, maybe in future they can instead of igniting fusion perhaps can create microblackholes that only last milliseconds, those blackholes can be accelerated and within the short distance accelerated through, the blackhole shrinks to nothing and the result being that the accelerating and changing mass (to zero) causes a warping and results in the spaceship achieving a warp engine.

Another way, The above GASERs perhaps could have focused beams to a point where they could result in a point experience a NEGATIVE space time gravity field that could then interact with a POSITIVE point nearby, so that a warp bubble could be established around the spaceship.

Additionally, the effects of fourier series and resonace at a set distance, could create a bubble surface that has a region of extreme gravity over a short distance (thickness of bubble surface), such that any matter attempting to cross that 1mm thickness of bubble will experience repulsion and be repelled away. Effectively creating a FORCE SHIELD around the space ship.

Meaning the GASERs could be used for a warp bubble within a spherical region around a spaceship (everything inside experiences the warp) AND could be use to create a force shield within a very thin surface bubble around a spaceship (a barrier of ultra high gravity within a thin membrane of a bubble around the spaceship warp bubble).
