March, May, July, Sept, Nov are the big release months, always at the end of the month around the 25th or 26th . So a May release from a very up and coming director is not that head turning . Jordan Peele directed the movie GET OUT, prior to US. Theyre both considered horror. US was written before 2018 and is about dopplegangers. Peeles movies all have a huge psychological twist. He's kind of cool actually, but he identifies with the black experience, and yet, makes fun of it on a certain level in his movies . I thought Get Out was excellent. It loosely touches on mind control in it. In US, he's actually bringing the fact the government makes clones and has tunnels under the cities, to light. He's more liberal than anything else I guess, but he still mocks the establishment. I'm not sure there's a full connection from Oprah to his movie, but he's still mocking the government in it.
