I am in agreement with your words. Most people forget (in daily battles and decisions) we are eternal beings and that this moment we have in mortality (compared to eternity) saddles us with two selves. The carnal self and the spiritual/eternal self. In this world, we are fallen eternal beings yet we have agency to choose. I believe we are to use our agency to aspire to the eternal self. This takes much searching but is the only true freedom in this mortal/carnal world. It is a fight within each person while sojourning in this realm.
