Quoting: Anonymous Coward 76789476 Thanks op! Off topic, i know, but it's still a bump. Thanks, lovey..... You never change things by fighting the existing reality. That’s why people who no longer have the bank accounts they filed with in 2019 get their checks mailed to them. At least that’s my understanding. |

Thank you, but that doesn't answer my question. They have my correct banking info. When I filed my 2019 taxes, the $1800 in Stimulus Pay I hadn't yet received was attached to my taxes. That actually worked out good for me, because my tax bill (after deductions) was over $1500. $220 goes to Turbotax, and I get a $120 refund for both Fed and State. I would've been hurting if it weren't for the Stimulus being held back and there. I'm so glad I'm not an independent contractor anymore. It's a huge pain in the arse....I mean the tax directions for filing a 1099 are so f'n convoluted, I'd gladly THROW the $220 at Turbotax, and then turn and flip the IRS off. I'm so glad this is the last year I have to deal with their crickey!.... You never change things by fighting the existing reality. Will your federal refund be direct deposited to your own bank account or does it go to TurboTax who then sends your portion to you? Or is the IRS going to do the split of the refund between you and TurboTax. |

(OP) User ID: 80037766 United States 03/06/2021 09:54 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Well considering nobody’s gotten their stimi yet it is all speculation my friend Quoting: Anonymous Coward 79489028 I read March 17th was their target date to have this round out by I filed my taxes in January and just got my return, but no stimi. I can post again when I do if you would care to know There's usually multiple threads started about posters receiving their Stim pay....but sure, that would be great if you did.... Turbotax told me I should get my return around the 27th of March...but all the IRS needs for the Stim pay is my banking info, which they should have in their system within the next few days. Some GLP buddies have been posting the answer on another thread. I've had such a run around for about 10 months now....I can't even tell you how frustrating it has been. I have been fit to be tied with their lack of communication skills, at and with EVERYTHING. The one time I actually got an agent on the phone, I tried so very many times, their system was going, going, going...."I'm sorry ma'am, my system just went down." They are incompetent bureaucratic buffoons..... I mean, 8 months since I mailed 2018 and 2019 in - yes, I know, my bad for mailing - and they haven't been posted yet, likely not even opened yet. And I had to mail 2018 in again because they said I only mailed my payment and not the tax return....pfht, as if. And that whole time they're saying they need an address to mail the (past) Stim pay to me, and THEY HAD MY ADDRESS because I was receiving mail from them about my 2018 taxes..... ....it's no wonder we're a nation of many alcoholics..... There was a problem last year of stimulus payments going to TurboTax bank account rather than to the tax filer, then TurboTax returned the money to the IRS, then the IRS had to mail the stimulus. Hopefully that has been fixed or won’t happen this time. I do think you filed soon enough that they will have the deposit information in time for the $1400. My refund showed pending into my account about 8 days after my tax return was accepted, so that must mean they enter the bank info almost instantly when return is accepted. |
