The server would hand her a cloth but would not hand her a coffee. Her point was absolutely spot on. There is no difference in any threat to this employee between handing a cloth to a unmasked person and handing a coffee to a unmasked person. And being willing to hand her a mask and not the coffee the company was making it very clear that they were indeed implementing a policy not based upon health and safety but on submission to the cloth alone.
