Do masons have an odd idiosyncrasy?: Symbols, Numbers and Geometry as more important than Consciousness and Ideology.

It is odd that the Mason appears to have more affinity with numerology, sacred geometry and symbology that with State of Consciousness and Ideology. One might say mildly autistic and idiosyncratic.

Normally a person into spirituality would have an interest in the former but a stronger interest in the latter. One is very much a physical thing intellectual thing; the other is higher mental and spiritual.

It would seem to be idiosyncratic and counter-productive to be most concerned with attending meetings and have strange rituals of initiation and an obsessive hierarchy of 33 ranks, etc, VS doing meditations and being concerned with the Energy of the being, Ethics, Love and Personal Evolution.
