Wiping out the internet is part of the great reset.
Not a single crypto is going to survive in the process.
Good luck holding the bag.

Who is the smartest money in the geo-political world?

China.

What are they doing?

Buying land everywhere except China to grow crops on and move their people onto.

Who else is rich and smart as fuck and what are they doing?

Bill Gates.

What is Bill Gates going full-retard on?

ARABLE FUCKING LAND.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 73568822

Well he always did have more money than brains.

I suppose you think he is going to buy a straw hat, a garden hose, and a rototiller next.

All he's doing is parking money and couldn't give a fuck about farming. He will put a fence around it any loose wild dogs & scorpions. Why? Just so YOU can't have any.

Re: yield on 10 yr bond
I love these threads, I really do. They highlight the knowledge gap between 'retail' (you lovely fellows) and professionals.

For starters, you all realise that the yield curve represents the risk associated with holding these bonds. The more the yield curve goes up, the greater the risk of holding them, and so the greater the reward, or yield. The risk we are discussing here btw is government default. I know you burgers don't entertain the notion that your govt could default but it is literally inevitable if you zoom out your timescale enough.

The more these yields increase the greater chance of that default being imminent. Once it cracks above a certain level, the psychological marker of an aggregate of market participants, volatility cascades happen. In layman's terms, people rush for the exits. What that means in the real world is that entities sell their dollar reserves for whatever is going to hold value better, be it another currency or a commodity.

Burgers can't fathom not being king of the castle (maybe banning history books was a bad idea) but this IS going to happen. Because you know what is stronger than behaviourally-conditioned patriotism (you have Hollywood and the Simpsons to thank for that), the drive for profits. The ones who patriotically refuse to believe the USD can fall from its perch are going to be the ones holding the bag at the end. Unfortunately for most of you, you are going to fall into this category. Evidence of this behaviour is highlighted in this thread by months of stubborn refusal to educate yourselves on bitcoin! The irony!

Anyway I can tell this has become too many words for most of you to process (in a thread about financial matter no less). I don't know why I bother half the time.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 80106850

Truly wise words. Thanks Aussie! Most won't understand this but some might. I've already seen comments that you made people's brains hurt. I thought it was pretty simple, myself, but then I'm kinda gifted. I've been slowly, over the past 10 years diversifying into PMs (which I hold), guns and land. The land is good but the taxes suck you dry like interest on a loan. Its not too bad if the land is just land but the instant you drive a post, its time for tax theft. Honestly, I've considered some stuff in our southwest thats a lot like your "Outback", is it? Anyways, feel bad for you guys down there with all the silly lockdowns.

But, one question, you call us "Burgers"? Where does that come from?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 79889202

I've heard people use it and find it amusing. After all, you all like to eat burgers. The American Southwest is similar to the Outback, the outback is pretty sparse but. You can buy cheap land out there but all you're buying is endless scrub desert with no water and little vegetation. There is also millions of flies.

Land is very good in that it insulates you from being herded in to cities, but it needs to be utilised for the right purposes. The gold standard is if your land can feed and sustain you and your family. This frees you up in a way most don't realise. However, this needs to be kept in mind of the greater context of the political situation of the country you live in. If the government decides to round you up for whatever reason, there isn't a whole lot most people can do about it, even if you possess a small arsenal.

The way I have come to understand it is there are two types of problems in the context we are discussing; rich people problems and poor people problems. Poor people problems are things like lockdowns, vaccinations, and taxes. Rich people problems are capital preservation and taxes. Central banks are everyone problems. If you are wealthy enough then you can navigate around many of the 'problems' most people are facing. Getting there of course is the problem for most.

The best 'solution' to the situation we are currently in is to be wealthy and keep your head down. That doesn't sound sexy or exciting but it may be the only way to survive the crush over the next two/three generations. Try to get land so you can't be corralled anywhere, try to minimise the tax you pay (tax avoidance is illegal, tax minimisation is good business. Furthermore, tax is a years long battle of you v the govt, you don't need to 'win' it in one return), above all try to preserve your capital. At the moment that means being hedged against inflation. So bitcoin is an attractive prospect. Additionally the volatility in the crypto markets provides the potential to increase your net worth very quickly IF you know what you are doing. If not, just try to be lucky. That is what boggles my mind with the anti-crypto sentiment anywhere. Nowhere else can you go from 5k to 100k in a few months. Full disclosure this is MUCH easier said then done.

Thanks, my brain does hurt after trying to understand all that. But in simple terms, what do you suggest for us lovely retail fellas to invest or acquire at the current time? Stocks, bonds, precious metals, crypto coin, a certain foreign currency, etc?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 80105376

See above, but in short; get some bitcoin. You don't have to shove your whole net worth into it but having some exposure has very little downside and enormous upside. Almost anything else could/couldn't work but will probably no provide the sort of return bitcoin can.

Really you need land you own, that can produce food for you and your family, wealth in stable stores of value, that is easy to transport around the place. Another attractive feature of bitcoin. If you need to move for whatever reason, lugging a safe full of gold bars and 14 assault rifles is going to be a task.

Above all, if you don't already, use the internet to teach you whatever skills you need to make or produce something. Preferably something that is in demand and can be sold online.

No yield in coins either. The only thing you can do with bitcoin is buy something with it, except you won't for two reasons;
1.) it's value is going up so you hold
2.) it's value is going down and you already lost your shirt

3.) merchants won't take it because government harassment.

Ok, so that's three and I'm sure there is more.

Thank-you Romania. Along with bitcoin creating problems...on purpose, silver might be the catalyst. Why such a great effort to manipulate the price low? Why does jp Morgan have 400 000 ounces? why are the biggest names in the silver industry like jeff christian making statements?

"We are just going to crash the dollar" It's all a set up for The great reset.

The bigger question is why are they allowing crypto to exist with all the downfalls and supposed super-secret nature.
(Remember, the US gov't stopped using Blackberry phones because they were TOO secure.

And why do they not incentivize owning metals as other countries encourage citizens to do if they really are worried about people not saving for rainy days/retirement?

And thats just one more of a million examples which prove to us that they do not have our best interests in mind. They sure push that Covid vaccine real hard on us. That makes me know for certain NEVER to take it. Its easy to read our enemies tactics with there being so much proof to work with. They never have our best interests in mind

B. Artificial Gold is cost prohibitive
C. Gold has been both a currency & store of wealth for 5000 years.
D.Crypto is a hedge, true, but way too volatile to be a reliable currency at this time.
E. Who cares? BUY SILVER...theres your hedge for anyone paying attention.

It’s not cost prohibitive if you believe the fiat currency you use to make it is going to be worthless pretty soon.

This website is packed with losers who should just kill themselves, or see a psychiatrist instead of an interenet forum, such as yourself. Diamonds are a hot commodity if they are the right sort and still rising.

Re: yield on 10 yr bond
the yield is back to Friday's panic level.

But we are told big players are getting into bitcoin. And it's a rogue thing free of manipulation, free of governments....sure it is. You are tellinng me those billionaires planninng the great reset in switzerland every year had a fast one pulled over them. They were bypassed with this mysterious new digital coin.
