Shills in here trying to make you stay away from gold, silver, and bitcoin. Have all 3. Keep your crypto keys yourself. Keep your gold and silver physical. For all 3, if you don't hold it you don't own it. Fuck the dollar.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 2492899

But you can't even hold a Bitcoin...
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 73036409

It's like buying "paper" gold.
With that you at least get a piece of paper saying what you have... And you can hold that paper.

You cannot hold a Bitcoin... And if one wanted to sell @ $50k, what do they do?
Buy gold or trade for fiat?

But we are told big players are getting into bitcoin. And it's a rogue thing free of manipulation, free of governments....sure it is. You are tellinng me those billionaires planninng the great reset in switzerland every year had a fast one pulled over them. They were bypassed with this mysterious new digital coin.

 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 73036409

the bitcoin's stay on the blockchain, which is distributed across the planet and a copy of this ledger would survive all sorts of disasters.

in the real world, you hold the keys to those bitcoin, unless your coins are on deposit / in the custody of a third party / centralized exchange / custodian.

those keys can be backed up to paper / metal / stone / composite, making them resistant to damage from EMP's / fire / flood / etc,

clearing / settling "paper bitcoin" into "physical" by withdrawing from an exchange, is much quicker / easier than doing so with "paper gold" contracts,

and with transparency / accountability of the public ledger, these exchanges reserves are largely open to the public, makes it much more difficult to run an excessive fractional reserve / cup&ball accounting they can do with all that physical in the vaults / reserves,

how do you sell bitcoin at $50K?

you move it to an exchange, sell it through the order book, and withdraw the USD from the exchange to your bank account.

alternatively, you get in touch with a local broker, you can arrange a more private trade, which may include a cash / fiat in person deal, or again, just USD wired to your account.

much easier / quicker / safer / cheaper to liquidate your BTC into USD than it is dragging your bullion out of the safe...

Its part of it. But, they mostly use paper gold and paper silver to "pump and dump" to keep physical gold and silver down. Gold and silver have been oversold. I'm told that gold is 150:1 and silver is over 100:1. So, in reality, right there with those fake vehicles, we're talking gold being 150x its actual price. The entire financial world is a fraud. Kind of like the voting system, maybe worse.
