The Fed is already engaged in Yield Curve Control. They are controlling the yield. Last Thursday, after market close, they smashed down the yield by buying 10Y bonds. Then they kept it in the 1.40-1.42% range tightly through yesterday and people were noticing how unnaturally it was behaving after the sell off last week.

Then, this morning it GAPS UP to 1.48%. They let it get up to 1.496% at it's highest, but important to notice, they DID NOT let it hit 1.5%. It's like they knew that people thought they were controlling it, so they allowed it rise a bit before continuing with a higher cap. It's not going to gap up 8 bp and then not go above 1.5%. That was too violent of a move to peter out magically just below the threshold that the entire market is watching with bated breath.

It's bullshit. The Fed is now controlling the whole curve. They haven't announced shit, but they will make a mealy mouthed statement sometime soon completely underreporting what they have actually done and indicating they are doing some tepid operation twist thing...when in reality, they are controlling the curve.

Thats the point if that article. Youd need a nuclear reactor to perform this alchemy.

And even then, your "gold" would be radioactive.


Gold, Silver, Platinum, Rhodium & other PMs aint going anywhere.
