No didnt think so, but it does hold and transfer value albiet a lot slower and way more expensive and requires purity testing, custodial gaurdianship, transportation costs, vault fees and the only ones really using it are nations to store in their vault as a reserve. This is the future of bitcoin, the other block chains are high tech and have far less fees and friction and ability to do thousands of times more transactions per second and host and run smart contracts none of which bitcoin can do.

Anyone with half a brain has been into crypto all these years and knows the difference between the different technologies and what they offer and their downside and their chances of adoption and integration.

If you are late to the party go research ALGORAND, it was created by one of the worlds leading cryptologists a professor at MIT and its team is one of the best in crypto. Its sort of a mix between Ethereum and XRP except its tens of thousands of times faster then Ethereum and its current fee is about 1/10th of a penny compared to ethereum which gets as high as $30-$50 to make one transfer. Their foundation is headquartered in Boston and their network has already partered with coinbase to build their stablecoin USDC on their network, they parted with Canadas Versabank to host their digital canadia stablecoin QCAD, they have partnered with Curve to onramp customers. The marshall island government just chose them to create and host their nations first digital currency and they are in talks with mastercard to do a partnership for credit card integration and with Swift for custodial services to let them get in on the crypto universe instead of get killed off by it.

I'd research into them and compare to their competitors, their model looks to potentially be the future of finance and they dont really care too much about crypto, their focus is getting legacy investment and banks integrated into this space and running their blockchains on their main chains.

Their entire team is almost all MIT professors and graduates and they have a war chest of almost 300 million dollars by venture capitalists and about 137 employees and extreme growth in their network while still flying under the radar.
