At work I have a grinder & stainless french press, so I tend to stick with a good and affordable coffee, so I get Jose's Organic Mayan Blend @ Costco...They used to have a High Desert Coffee which was better, but this is pretty damn good too.

Going back to off the shelf regular coffee is like going from drinking an Opus One Cabernet to Boone's Farm. You also realize just how disgusting Starbucks tastes after you've had the real deal.

And as an added bonus, the amount of caffeine in them is huge as they know how to properly roast the beans as to preserve the flavor. Unlike Starbucks who burn every bean to a cinder and call it "flavor".

Coffee tip of the day - the lighter the roast, the more caffeine in it. Not the other way around. Most people believe just the opposite, that the darker it is the more caffeine. So if you want a big morning caffeine boost always go for the light roast. The darker roasts have roasted out more of the caffeine content.

And to make it worse this is the shit that gets pinned on glp. You can tell the difference if people that were here long ago to now. Big difference

I like wood fire roasted beans the best, typically from Summer Moon. In order to get the best coffee you need to buy whole beans as close to the roasted date as possible and grind them right before use. They should be used within about 2 weeks of the roasting date for freshness and maximum flavor. If you're buying coffee without a roast date on it, you're getting stale coffee. Most store bought packages will try to trick you by putting a "best by" date on the bags, never a roast date. The effect is even worse if you buy pre-ground coffee. If your goal is espresso, you need to spend 1k+ on equipment and you can beat your local coffee shop every time once you dial it in.

I used to drink Aroma BlackLightning, and prior to that Peet's French Roast.

Now, due to lack of funds I switched to Bustelo, but I love it.

What makes you say this and what healing? I'm curious. I used to drink an espresso a day but wasn't liking the frequency or the dependence so I quit for several weeks and had the typical withdrawal headaches for almost a week. Now I drink it sparingly.
