As a former catholic I can tell you they don't "study" scripture, they study the catechism of their church. In catholic school we would never read from the Bible, only the history of the church and notes from the 4 gospels

The Methodist Church is roughly as bad, javierruizleon. I went to the Methodist Church for many years straight when I was a boy. I was emotionally and mentally tortured by them almost constantly. All because I genuinely asked for proof and evidence. I literally asked because I did not want to believe in falsehoods or "lies" as I said back then.

After my demonic possession and dealing with one or more demons for so long back then I figured it would be immeasurably prudent for me to go for as much irrefutable proof of Yeshua/Jesus Christ, God Himself, and everything else the Methodist Church kept preaching. I... I never got anything better than being told that I am a demon in the flesh and similar stuff. For the longest time I was widely known to be the "demon child" of our church and was treated as such by numerous people of our church.
