The first is defined as a clean animal for food by the bible and the second isn't. I only eat meat defined within the bible as food.

Animals defined by distinct criteria are identified as food and are good to eat.

Animals that don't share those distinctions are NOT to be used for food. To eat them is equitable to partaking of an abomination.

If I had the financial means to make it possible to harvest a Giraffe for personal consumption, I would do it, at least once in my lifetime.
