I am sure there were a lot of reasons that all came together in basically the worst event ever in the USA. So many people died it’s crazy. |

Why would they put life and limb on line for a conflict. Many slaves were treated as family and friends all working on a farm together. As anywhere abuses did happen, and bad actors were used to create a narrative to suit a cause. This narrative is still defended to modern times. |

When did I mention anything about how slaves were treated? Personally, I don’t care if slaves were treated well or not. Slavery is not a good thing. Just because some people were completely helpless and scared and chose to remain on the plantation doesn’t make slavery a good thing. I also don’t believe all slave owners were bad. I’m sure some treated their slaves ok and they were just following the cultural norm. I still would never support slavery though. I like freedom. |
