Rather than increasing quality.
Let’s just scrap it all.

This was always going to happen because most governments don’t care about ALL people.

And ALL people definitely don’t understand how much better it could be slowed with real protection and proper techniques.

So am I the only one thinking governments are just throwing in the towel??

So many countries seem to be ditching all restrictions this week.

Its not making any sense. Not that anything has made sense the last couple of years.

Maybe the elite finally have their bunkers ready and are about to go into hiding so who cares what happens with the rest of the world.

I think it's their only way to maintain the illusion of being in control. People are doing whatever they want, so governments are changing the rules or dropping them. Especially in the UK after Boris got caught partying during lockdown.

That being said, Italy has tightened the rules lately. Unvaxxed can't go anywhere other than grocery and pharmacy, even with a Covid test. Also, N95 masks are mandatory for public transportation, including school buses.

Hope you are enjoying your new place!

Re: Sars Cov 2 … the grinder continues to eat away at resources and humanity.
it has gotten confusing since N Yrs. what it appeared the govern wanted to do and what they were able was different. there is also economics and that does play a big role in their decisions.

we know the shortages are worse than the stores show. wharehouses are empty by now, have been. with CHINA making less and less, every country is slowly running out of supply. if INDIA were to slow down, even more shortages will happen.

it appears they jumped the gun so to speak on OMI. it hasn't been as bad as hyped. but the govern reacted more to OMI than DELTA. leaves me to believe there was other reasons for the hype. #'s were made to look bad for the holidays and now they are dropping them off. i think we will see higher #'s as the test kits are mailed.

virus takes a snooze after the holidays? strange but this virus has been that way. it does whatever it wants and we humans try to play catch up. science is way behind. things we said a year or more ago, science now is studying. long covid, brain damage, etc.

i've tried to come up with a theory to explain what the virus is doing. i can get close but they all have flaws. how the virus reacts inside households is a mystery. it can run thru 1 and kill everyone. in another it will infect 1 and skip everyone else. very bizarre. seems to b genetics is a big factor to what happens. thing is we can't see that to understand who or when the virus will react to.

i don't think it is over or even close to that yet. what goes up must come down and vs versa. hence, the next variant should cause issues again. and this variant can start anywhere at any time. so could b our own backyards. can't let our guard down.

we are now in the 3rd year of the pandemic. we know less and less of what reality is. still don't have an accurate death estimate for every country. still don't know how bad things are in CHINA. how short are the supplies? how are ppl going to b 5 yrs after having covid or the vax?

Seems we are at a new inflection point.
One in which many nations abandon a centralized approach.

The concerning part for me is that humanity is evaluating the severity of disease based on short term symptoms/issues.

Thinking that because fewer initially need ventilators that the virus is truly is mild and we can all go rushing back to the 2019 normal life.

However, studies after studies are showing that Covid is really nasty and associated with exploiting the biological system and setting events into motion that will impact many in the medium-long term future.

Yet here we are living our now shortened “normal” lives.

They had to open up more testing places in the central Des Moines metro area. And we get to do this forever. So much fun. /s

Now I wanna see real numbers for all hospital intake. And all diseases and illnesses. This also comes back around with regularity. It’s the new “cold” that they all wanted. Dumbasses.

Covid update from a friend whos best friend just got covid for a second time. First time she had covid toes, loss of taste/smell, coughing, fever, headache and had some long covid symptoms. Still didn't have her taste/smell back and she first caught it back in March 2021.

Well this go round she actually got both of them back. Not sure if I have heard that before - this virus is nuts!

I think what we're seeing, in action rather than just in words, is the concept of "by consent of the governed".

"They" govern "us" when we, ultimately, allow them to do so.
Here in the US at least we're supposed to have a "representative" government; they work for us.

The scatter shot actions, the changing "mandates", etc., etc., etc. have gotten to the point where more and more people are, to quote the movie line from "Network", "we're mad as hell and we're not going to take anymore."

Right, wrong, or somewhere in the middle, the staggering lack of leadership, honesty, and transparency has simply undermined any trust or belief we had left to the point where their own incompetence, indecisiveness, and self-serving behavior has caused this growing collapse.

Good comment. People are desperate to go back to normal, and will do anything to get there.....including lie to themselves and others.

And policy makers don't go by studies. They live and breathe by polls.

Beijing Covid Flareup Worsens with New Clusters at Cold Storage

Five people who worked at a cold chain storage facility in the Fangshan district of Beijing tested positive for Covid, with genetic sequencing showing three of them were infected by the delta variant, Beijing officials said at a briefing on Wednesday. The refrigeration facility also deals with imports, and the workers who tested positive hadn’t left the city in the past two weeks, they added.

Shutting down the world was never going to work as anything other than a temporary measure.

Sooner or later, people will just begin to murder government officials randomly in anger.

And I'm guessing government officials figured this time was getting a bit too close for comfort.

There is no zero COVID. It's in the third world, and it's in wildlife. Neither have the capability to rid themselves of the virus.

No amount of lockdowns or mask mandates or vaccine mandates will prevent every single human being on Earth from catching this bug sooner or later.

Folks, take care of your vehicles.
Got a friend with a shop.
The demand for repairs needed is skyrocketing.
The delay for parts is doing the same.
It’s insane... just insane.

If this same stuff is happening in the utilities sector then we’re hanging by a thread.
