Report from my little Southeast Texas bubble. Word is out, even to the sheep. Many masks at the grocery store, and pharmacies slammed with people wanting to vax and/or get boosters.

This even with the University kids mostly gone home for Thanksgiving.

I don't think that'll happen, LJ. If they do, that means disclosure of where it came from and who really built it. Too many cooks in the kitchen, I think.

It seems to me, that anyone with even 2 functioning brain cells should see this as a high possibility.

I disagree. Less people needed for goods movement. All tested when entering another country, could have worked.

Testing is not accurate. Nor are showing of symptoms.

And you can disagree. Running a large grocery store requires tons of people.

It's not just about delivering of goods, either. All the steps to create a product to deliver require multitudes of people. All touching, breathing, coughing, sniffling all through the process.

I totally agree with you, but look at all the things that are STILL hidden from us. Unless TPTB want to take out a country/government, we'll never "officially" know. What's obvious to many is fiction to others, look at the vaxx'd.

my theory is ppl were starting to get vaxed almost a year ago. they will fail and cause damages so deaths will start to pile up from now on. yes some died quicker, but expect most will between 1-2yrs out from injections. hence, this screaming news gets ahead of that plus takes care of all the other stuff listed above too.

I’m already hearing from family that the virus is mild. I tried to explain the keyword of “presents”...but to no avail. Also hearing the “100 days” until new vaccine so “we should be alright”. There really isn’t any discussion to be had about vaccines nowadays, that water is way too muddy and turbulent.

Although, there is some concern with respects to the actions countries are taking in comparison to Delta.

I’m more than happy to be wrong. But my batting average is better than their’s right now..soooo..

Hope the notion of the young and healthy getting only the sniffles and a cough hold up. But we all know how that goes

 Quoting: sbt

There are 330,000,000 people in the US, give or take a few million.

If we close our external borders that's still a lot of people moving around.

If we close state borders we still have states like California, Illinois, Texas, New York that have tens of millions of people moving around.

If we close city borders we still have Chicago, Atlanta, New York City, Los Angeles, Houston, etc. which have population in the millions, so there's still a lot of "moving around" that takes place.

The alternative is a total lockdown, those don't work well when you have a population that's used to going where it wants, when it wants.

So while, in the abstract, you're correct; practically speaking it's an impossible task to create complete isolation and total lack of movement here or, I suspect, where you live.

There was always a way to stop the spread. First one was to close the borders very stricly. Second, to test every one within the borders. Third, to count all infected per state/country.
And then communicate with other states/countries about the situation.

Every country/state had of course developed a perfect real vaccine. And so, the infection number went to zero.

After all countries/states were to be found clear, borders could be opened again!

All people of the world were SO happy! They bought at least ten turkeys to express their thankfulness.

We have state lines that are technically a border, but no one is stopped. We just drive through.

The thing is, you can't only test drivers. My point was, many people handle a product months before a driver ever sees it and most drivers never touch it anyway. Someone else loads and unloads the trailers.
 Quoting: Texan Buckeye

Ok. So you test everyone involved with delivering goods at any border or stateline. At least not as free as it was before.
I just thought it was a logical thing to do...
 Quoting: sbt

But, you're missing the point. The driver's are the least of worries when it comes to delivery. It's really everyone else in the chain.

The other thing is, there is NO such thing as "not as free". That's like being "sort of" pregnant. You either are or not. The virus is on the loose or it's still in the lab. Once it hit outside air, there was no way to stop the spread, no matter what the theories. It was ALWAYS going to spread, no matter what we tried.

If ALL borders in the USA would have been closed the very first minute of the pandemic, there would be less infected. Do you agree?
 Quoting: sbt

You cannot close all borders in the US. And again - moot.

You could pretend to close all countries’ borders, but I say again - movement makes this end badly no matter what fake border closings folks try. If folks can’t stay home the risk is high. It’s endemic.
 Quoting: CleverCreator

With closed borders, people move less and stay more at home.
Agree?

 Quoting: Larry D. Croc

That is the point. People want to go where they want and when they want. Millions of people just want to do what they were used to do for such a long time.

So what if they lose that freedom for a while for own their protection? (is it?)

Pity I am only correct in the abstract while I was thinking quite concrete.

I isolated myself almost completely. So, it is possible!
