User ID: 81066192 United States 11/27/2021 05:14 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I’m already hearing from family that the virus is mild. I tried to explain the keyword of “presents”...but to no avail. Also hearing the “100 days” until new vaccine so “we should be alright”. There really isn’t any discussion to be had about vaccines nowadays, that water is way too muddy and turbulent. Although, there is some concern with respects to the actions countries are taking in comparison to Delta. I’m more than happy to be wrong. But my batting average is better than their’s right now..soooo.. |

I have a sneaking suspicion that the initial presentation may be mild, but that the long-term effects are very bad ... long covid, ME/CFS, etc. No proof there, just a hunch. It seems unlikely that we will be able to stop rampant spread of this one. If it is even half as infectious as some are saying, it's going to hit basically then entire population, everywhere. I guess we can hope for a best case scenario, in which it honestly IS mild, and gives some immunity without longterm repercussions. If so, this would be acting somewhat like a flu, and mutating into something truly endemic. This pathogen is so weird, though, I really don't trust that to be the case. Looks like freedom but it feels like death. It's something in between I guess... it's closing time. Lenonard Cohen |

But without engineers and other professionals traveling to do what they do in person, the great systems that make modern society work would crumble. I was once hired to go to Taiwan to do a job.
