User ID: 22937658 United States 06/25/2021 10:56 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I think it's more because of the isolation. The elderly are at a bigger risk on a normal, good day. When they do finally get to get out, it's a huge drain of energy for them. They know, after the first time or two, they're going to be knocked down for a day or two. Add to that, no visitors for over a year, it'll mess anyone up. Just before we had to put mom in a memory care facility, she only had 2 friends stop by and they only did that because they knew I was there and could translate. Mom wouldn't go anywhere if I didn't take or go with her. She couldn't talk on the phone, either. If she called me, it would take forever to figure out what she needed. My brother was closer, but he had no patience with it. He hated what was happening, but he was in a normal time "hurry". |
