As did BLM and Antifa. George Soros obviously paid them all so that Nancy Pelosi and John Podesta can steal little Texas children from their homes, during their moment of vulnerability, and drink their blood. Because, sure, why not. |

My Fear
User ID: 71860689 United States 02/20/2021 07:50 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I agree. If Abbott want to save Texas, he needs to get out in front of this thing and reengage the Texas culture independences and being prepared for anything. I own an generator 1500 watt generator with four ports and even one 220 outlet. Our generator cost us $550 and we hae used it twice since we bought it last year. After all the power does go down and out sometimes in Texas for many hours and has we can see , even days. I always thought it would be the Texas heat and the growing population that would cause brown outs. It can run off gasoline or even gas which I can hook up to my home. so happy I was yang and prepared. I had ample gasoline and propane ready to go. Sure you can't operate your home in a power outage like you normally would with the regular power on. You have to switch and alternate from time to time especially regular refrigerators. Freezers are no problem. I know why rich people buy stand alone refrigerators and freezers. Each one uses about 100 watts of power. But a refrigerator freezer works a lot harder at 750 to 1500 watts. So, you actually save money buying and using stand alone refrigeration units. Anyways, my house is heated by gas. So, to stay warm all we had to do was plug our regular household heater up to the extension cord for the heater. Presto heat! We ran our freezer and put ice jugs that we already had in the regular refrigerator. And put the stuff from the small dual frig into the freezer since we had room from already being prepared way in advance since summer. We were able to use hot plates, toaster oven, and charge our phones and tablets and stay connected. I didn't ever buy a 220 electrical cord as like I said I always thought that Texas heat be go out way before I considered snow and ice. So besides, not being able to dry laundry, we sailed through the ice and snow storm event. we didn't even use our fireplace which just holds a bunch of candles. Even without our generator we would be OK too for heat. We do have some firewood for camping. Also it you take a pot and turn it upside down crating a 1" gap on the bottom and then light a candle underneath it a single candle can create a lot of radiant heat for a room to stay comfortable. than use another candle for light. WHAT UPSET ME THE MOST IS THE MSM. They are creating the thinking that someone is to blame their hardships in this crisis. It's not their fault that they have no survival skills, don't even know how to shut off the water at their home. Shame on these people and especially the transplants coming here to Texas, and than ready to throw away freedom and money for the perception of safety and security. Like I said, the power does go out from time to time in Texas. We have thunderstorms and ageing electrical infrastructure that still works for the most part, but the power does go out and sometimes it takes time to repair. That is just life in Texas. It is far cheaper for individuals to be ready and have some survival skills, then to pay these politicians and power companies to solve our rare electrical problems. Like I said my generator cost $550 from Costco, there are even electric battery ones. You can't mandate people buy these generators, but you certainly can inspire people to look out for themselves instead of expecting the government to do it for them. It is ridiculous so many "Texans" were unprepared. Which is why we are turning blue. People just accept they don't know how to wipe their a$$. I am so pissed about that. |
