The Dems got themselves in a bind- all their candidates who were playing with a full deck were so socialist that even main stream libs didn't want them. Meanwhile there's old Joe Biden who desperately wanted to be something more than a second fiddle and an also ran before he dies.
The public figures he's fairly low profile and harmless and compared to Sanders, Warren and the rest he doesn't look like a terrible choice plus he's still NOT TRUMP so he's marketable.I figure a deal was cut...
