Hydroxychloroquine and ivermectin were second and third choice. The first, is used among hospital settings across the world, only most people including the staff, have no understanding of it's historical healing abilities. Been using it well over a decade, and can't recall the last year in my life I've ever been sick. Doctor endorsed, well, NOT the MSM doctor type, but was glad to hear he endorsed after I had been taking it for well over a decade. Learn to become your own doctor, and maybe, the doctors will eventually catch on.

Nope, not telling. It's been mentioned many times over, but no one has yet figured out the gold mine that they sit upon. When you DO attempt to convey the information, the sheep just disregard. Oh well. I'm not pumping the price on the product. Makes it cheaper for those in the know.

Well it works on other viruses by starving them of arginine.

The body builds protein according to set proportions of amino acids. Any amino acids in excess of the ratio are unused. Human protein is high in lysine. Viruses are high in arginine. If you have excess lysine, all your arginine will be utilized and none left over for the viruses.

Peanuts are high arginine. Milk is high lysine. Peanut butter sandwich with a glass of milk is a good source of protein.

30 years ago my sister, who was a registered nurse, told me that a memo at work recommended that at the FIRST SIGNS of a cold take 500mg vitamin C and 500mg L-lysine 3 times per day.

Amazing news. Why isn't this broadcast on all the major network news? Think of all the lives we'd be saving from flu. I have used lysine and vitamin C together for heart health and for treating shingles. Now I'll use it every day.

20 years ago on my first browsing of similar discussion forum I read about l lysine treatment for cold sores which I suffered from most my life. Have taken daily since. Rarely sick or sores. No vivid symptoms. Also c d3 zinc

Cold sores are caused by the herpes virus and lysine does work, so maybe it will work on covid.

I’ve been reading about this since first seeing the post last night (Thanks, OP), and you don’t have to give up those things. You would just have to take more lysine to counteract the arginine you’re picking up in your diet. You can take up to 9g a day. I’m adding 1g lysine to my daily preventative regimen along with C, D, and zinc, and will up the dosage of all considerably if I get sick.

Naturopaths have known about lysine for common colds and herpes for decades.
