"Hyper-Realism" is typically a modern term used to describe works made using photo reference, i.e. Photorealism.

This is Classical or Academic Realism, where the artist works entirely from life using the skills developed over 500 years of Western painting tradition.

Even in the art world, I've been outcast for supporting Trump.

Unless I create a "pen-name" I don't think I'll get anywhere with this stuff.

Once 2016 came and I voiced my support, I lost most all connections and social media engagement.

I almost changed careers since then and want to go back to painting, but I'm not really sure there's a point now.

Even though your painting is remarkable, it's of some old kitchen items.

I'm reminded of a painting done by an 8 year old girl of Jesus, that people are still talking about today -- in fact an entire documentary was done on her.

Imagines of heaven, or dystopian futures, even peoples power animals, dragons, wolves...

I used to date a girl, she was a painter -- also tallented. She sold paintings all the time, and it was the same basic theme over and over again -- like some tribal motiffs mixed with spiritual kundalini shet. People went bonkers over it.

Just some ideas. Don't give up painting -- shoot, it's probably the BEST thing you can do now. Screw working for societies infrastructure being an electrician, or a delivery driver, or a carpenter... what's the point of polishing the brass on the Titanic if it's all going down man?

It's very direct, glad you noticed!

Basically, I am imagining that a surface of a particular local color is turning towards or away from the light... and trying to represent that change by carefully transitioning between different mixtures.

When I finish an area, I try to 'fuzz out" the edges so I can connect the next portion seamlessly.

I have a lot more trouble juggling the whole painting at once, so I distill it down to smaller, more manageable tasks.

Painting well wasn't an easy thing to learn how to do.

Now that I feel comfortable with that, I hope to use my 3d skills that I more recently learned to create more ambitious subject matter.

I mean that, it's difficult to put into words how much I appreciate a comment like this... I'm sort of an outcast in this little "realist art world" I exist in so I don't get nearly the same amount of input as I did prior to coming out as a conservative.

All of my accounts are shadowbanned... I'm currently thinking about using a "pen name" to market my work under because I pretty much rode my real name into the ground by having convictions and standing by them.
