Not really, but money is nowt if you love your animals, he just had to have special tablets and injections now and again, cannot remember what though now, but he lived happily for 2 years with it, 14 when he passed,
after a last supper of roast chicken . But we did try to keep him in, we did not want our neighbours to know what he had, in case they said or did anything, this was about 15 years ago.
