Exposure to radionuclides causes far more conditions than cancer. Yes cancer is suspect see Dustin diamonds rapid death. However the vast majority of people exposed experience heart disease autoimmune conditions dementia nervous system disorders myalgia arthritic flare ups digestive disorders far more than cacenogenic or mutagenic effects. Cancer is only a small part of radiation effect.
